Dan Strutt

Principal investigator

Goldsmiths Mocap Streamer’s Principal Investigator and Lead Researcher Dr Dan Strutt is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Media, Communications and Cultural Studies at Goldsmiths, University of London, where he teaches screen media theory and analysis alongside creative economy theory. His monograph ‘The Digital Image and Reality: Affect, Metaphysics and Post-Cinema’ was published with Amsterdam University Press in 2019, and the co-authored ‘Fashion as Creative Economy’ by Polity in 2022 (with Angela McRobbie and Carolina Bandinelli). He collaborates with dance and digital artists on public-funded projects in the area of motion-capture dance data and telematic performance, and currently holds a British Academy Innovation Fellowship.
